In 2025, Groupe CAT España accelerated its decarbonisation efforts. A key milestone was the optimisation of the Barcelona–Madrid route through the introduction of a duo-trailer configuration. Previously operated using two standard trailers per journey (12,000 kg each), this route generated approximately 1,136 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
