08/18/2026CSR Report 2025 : our CSR progress and strategic direction for Race to 2030

Environment, human resources, ethics, and governance: review of our performance and deployment of our decarbonisation commitments.
The publication of our CSR Report 2025 marks a decisive strategic milestone. Guided by our mission, “Building sustainable and healthy growth for everyone“, we integrate corporate social responsibility at the heart of our operational model, decision-making, and governance. Our Race to 2030 roadmap sets out a clear action framework for the 2026–2030 period. The goal: building resilient growth by aligning operational excellence, team safety, and environmental preservation.
Our approach is built upon three fundamental pillars:
- Act for the climate and reduce our environmental impact
- Foster a safe, healthy, and engaging work environment
- Contribute to a more virtuous society
Decarbonisation and energy transition: our SBTi trajectory
Freight transport accounts for over 90% of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, making the transformation of our logistics operations our primary lever for action. Officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), our reduction targets set a clear course:
- Scopes 1 and 2 : 42% absolute reduction by 2030 (vs 2022)
- Scope 3 : 52% intensity reduction per tonne-kilometre by 2030 (vs 2022)
- Net-zero ambition by 2050 : -90% on Scopes 1 and 2, and -97% in intensity on Scope 3. In 2025, we recorded a 6% decrease in overall CO₂ emissions compared to our 2022 baseline, bringing our carbon footprint to 483,741 tCO₂e (82,727 tCO₂e for Scope 1, 4,381 tCO₂e for Scope 2, and 396,633 tCO₂e for Scope 3)
To achieve these targets, we are investing heavily in fleet modernisation and low-carbon transport. We have renewed 223 trucks in our owned fleet (yielding a 10% reduction in fuel consumption) and introduced alternative vehicles, including electric trucks in Germany, LNG trucks in Spain, and a hydrogen truck operating across Belgium and France. On the rails, an order of 100 new articulated rail wagons (TAL) reinforces our managed fleet of 2,100 wagons and 81 weekly trains, supporting the annual transport of 1 million vehicles. Furthermore, multimodal solutions such as duo-trailers in Spain are cutting CO₂ emissions by 30% per trip.

Environmental management and resource preservation
Beyond our carbon strategy, our environmental policy addresses energy performance, water management, the circular economy, pollution prevention, and biodiversity.
Energy and solar infrastructure at our sites
We are accelerating the energy transition across our logistics sites. Photovoltaic panels installed across 8 compounds in France now cover approximately 1 million square metres of solar surface area. The widespread rollout of LED lighting and motion sensors has generated a 45% reduction in electricity consumption for equivalent lighting levels. Additionally, we are deploying rapid charging infrastructure (120 to 180 kW EVCI) in Batilly and electric minibuses at our UK terminals. Today, 48% of our sites are ISO 14001 certified and 13% hold ISO 50001 certification for energy management.
Water resources and waste management
To preserve natural resources, rainwater harvesting systems are active in Belgium and France. Vehicle cleaning operations rely on low-water washing systems, zero-water stations, and advanced effluent treatment. Waste management focuses on systematic sorting, the total elimination of on-site incineration, the development of recycled asphalt for car parks, and the active reuse of reconditionable packaging.
People and safety
Placing our teams at the heart of excellence.
Our performance relies on the more than 6,000 employees of Groupe CAT.
Occupational health and safety
In 2025, we recorded 290 lost-time work accidents, achieving a frequency rate of 29 and a severity rate of 1.0. Safety culture is fostered daily through pre-shift warm-up sessions in Le Havre, “Flash Security” talks, and eco-driving modules. Psychosocial risk prevention is also a top priority, supported by a 24/7 psychological helpline (PSYFrance), a dedicated carer support programme (Prev&Care), and active heatwave action plans.
Skills development, equality, and inclusion
We foster internal growth and stable employment, evidenced by a 13.4% internal mobility rate (non-driver positions) and 99% permanent contracts (CDI). Skills development is driven by our internal mobile app LEARNbyCAT and our 12 “Dojo” practical training spaces.
Diversity remains a cornerstone of our HR strategy: women represent 21% of our global workforce, and our operations in France achieved a score of 93/100 on the gender equality index. Our strategic plan targets 40% female representation within governing bodies by 2030. Social dialogue is equally robust, with 83% of our workforce covered by employee representative bodies or collective agreements.

Ethics, responsible purchasing, and cybersecurity
The deployment of our CSR approach guarantees the integrity of our operations and the control of our value chain.
Ethics and anti-corruption compliance
Aligned with the French Sapin 2 law, Groupe CAT relies on a strict Code of Conduct and the AlertEthic anonymous whistleblowing channel. 100% of our employees are trained in anti-corruption rules and ethical standards. Since November 2025, all new suppliers undergo systematic evaluation via a dedicated questionnaire, and anti-corruption clauses are embedded in all contracts. Furthermore, 100% of target suppliers have received our Supplier Code of Conduct and are bound by contractual CSR obligations.
Responsible purchasing and data security
To safeguard our digital infrastructure, 100% of our employees are trained in information security challenges. These efforts brought our cybersecurity maturity score to 745/1000, with zero confirmed major incidents recorded.
External recognition
Our actions and quantitative progress receive validation from independent assessment bodies :
EcoVadis Silver Medal (2025) : Score of 70/100, placing us in the top 15% of assessed companies worldwide for the third consecutive year.
CDP Progress : Our CDP Climate Change score improved from D to B, and CDP Water Security rose from D to C.
Perspectives Race to 2030
Our CSR Report 2025 demonstrates the maturity of the ongoing strategic transformation through decarbonisation, energy efficiency, operational safety, workplace equality, and ethical governance.
All our teams across Groupe CAT continue this collective momentum to consolidate our position as the European leader in automotive logistics and spare parts distribution, while building sustainable and healthy growth for everyone.
