Our commitments for sustainable logistics & corporate responsibility
Driving decarbonisation in automotive logistics
At Groupe CAT, environmental responsibility is at the core of our long-term strategy. As a leading European automotive logistics provider with more than 65 years of expertise, we aim to build a sustainable and healthy growth model for everyone by significantly reducing our environmental footprint.
A science-based decarbonisation strategy
Following the validation of our ambitious greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction targets by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2024, the Group formally integrated environmental considerations into its strategy by launching ‘Race to 2030’ in 2025. This Group-wide strategy for the 2026–2030 period is structured around five strategic pillars, including one fully dedicated to environmental performance, thereby extending our decarbonisation efforts across all countries.
Because over 90% of our carbon footprint is linked to freight operations, our roadmap focuses heavily on transforming our transport model:
By 2030: Reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 42% (vs. 2022) and Scope 3 emissions by 52% (per ton-kilometer).
By 2050: Reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 90%, reduce Scope 3 intensity by 97%, and achieve net-zero emissions.
Transforming transport and logistics
To achieve these goals, we are deploying end-to-end logistics solutions, prioritising a modal shift toward rail, improving loading ratios, and reducing empty kilometers. We are investing significantly in fleet renewal with new-generation trucks that reduce fuel consumption by approximately 10%, progressively integrating electric, hydrogen, and biofuel (HVO, B100) vehicles. Rail transport remains a strategic pillar, supported by our 1,800 owned wagons. Furthermore, we actively engage our subcontractors to reduce Scope 3 emissions across the entire value chain.
Managing broader environmental impacts
Our environmental commitment goes beyond carbon reduction. We implement a comprehensive resource management approach, optimising energy efficiency through real-time monitoring, solar panel installations, and progressive ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications. We also preserve water via rainwater harvesting and waterless washing technologies, while promoting the circular economy through rigorous waste recycling and digitalisation. Strict chemical management procedures ensure the protection of biodiversity and full compliance with environmental regulations.

Fostering a secure, healthy & engaging workplace
With more than 6,000 employees across 16 countries, our people are our greatest asset. To support them, Groupe CAT strengthens employee engagement by deploying tools that foster dialogue, feedback, and active participation in company life. This includes the rollout of an employee engagement survey (eNPS – employee Net Promoter Score) in 2026 to measure satisfaction and engagement, with the ambition of achieving an eNPS score of 65 by 2030 and supporting the development and monitoring of targeted action plans to continuously improve the employee experience.
Parallelly, safety remains a non-negotiable priority, fostered by systematic risk mitigation, regular training, and continuous audits. Beyond physical safety, we actively promote mental well-being and work-life balance through Quality of Work Life (QWL) assessments, the right to disconnect, and hybrid working models where feasible. To concrete-proof this commitment, Groupe CAT has established clear objectives and key performance indicators for 2026:
- Zero fatal accidents involving CAT employees.
- A workplace accident frequency rate (FR) below 30 and a severity rate (SR) below 1, sustained through targeted preventive measures.
- Comprehensive health coverage across each group entity that meets or exceeds local regulatory requirements.
Developing skills, diversity & social dialogue
Employee development is central to our long-term success. We align individual career aspirations with company strategy through annual reviews, mobility programs, and innovative learning tools like the LEARNbyCAT app and the CAT Academy. We are proud of our 2025 milestones:
- 98.4%of our workforce employed under permanent contracts
- 13.4%internal mobility rate

We believe diversity is a driver of performance and innovation. Built on equal opportunity, our HR policy includes ambitious targets to increase female representation in executive bodies:
- 40%representation by 2030
Additionally, we place a strong emphasis on social dialogue, with 100% of our employees covered by collective agreements and formal dialogue bodies established in 80% of our operating countries.
Contributing to a more virtuous society
As a responsible leader, Groupe CAT recognizes its broader responsibility toward society. Ethical governance is embedded at the highest level of our organisation, operating in compliance with major international frameworks, including the OECD Guidelines, ILO conventions, and the UN Global Compact.
Operating with integrity
Groupe CAT apply a strict zero tolerance policy on unethical behaviour, corruption and bribery.
Our Code of Conduct defines strict standards on anti-corruption, fair competition, and human rights. Because trust is the engine of our industry, our AlertEthic platform allows partners and employees to confidentially report any breaches, protecting our culture of integrity and international reputation.
Promoting responsible practices & data security
Our responsibility extends beyond our own operations to promoting sustainable automotive supply chain management. We integrate environmental and social criteria into supplier selection, collaborate to reduce Scope 3 emissions, and measure our performance through external rating agencies like EcoVadis and CDP. In a highly digitalized environment, we also implement robust data governance policies to ensure cybersecurity resilience and protect stakeholder privacy.
Building sustainable & healthy growth
Our Environmental, Social, and Societal commitments are not isolated initiatives—they are fully integrated into our 2026–2030 roadmap. By embedding ESG considerations into our integrated logistics, investing in innovation, and mobilising our teams, Groupe CAT is shaping a more resilient, responsible, and future-ready organisation.
